ABC and Poon hill trek day 3

Day 3
After a good warm sleep at Sherpa hotel, (bhanuwa) Lower Sinuwa at the height of 2360mt. we were all buckled up to reach our next destination. Our next destination was to Deurali. It took us exact 45 minutes to reach Upper Sinuwa as mentioned by the hotel lady. From here one can see a a beautiful range of Mt.Annapurna and also Ghandruk village. The growth of happiness was just booming inside me knowing that I am going to have even a close look to Annapurna than this .

On our way there was big jungle of orchids and ferns. I don’t know but I felt like this was the best jungle on our way so far. You could listen to the river and birds chirping, one of different knid. 🙂 We spotted other small village Bamboo ( 2310 mt.) only one of the hotel was open her because of off season off-course. Not wasting a bit of time for resting or else we decided to move from there. Then there came another cruel long steep stone staircase, well not longer than that of Chomrong but still. I was really going hard times thinking about all those staircase while getting back the same route. I was literally dieing inside thinking of it 😦

There was river called Pola from our way to Bamboo and also avalanche chutes (well that was mentioned on map) 🙂 And then we reached to Dobhan (2600mt.) I felt the timing to reach to Deurali was never getting closer coz whoever we met they were just saying it would take you longer. But for your kind information how much longer no one ever figured out that. After having heavy lunch in fishtail in Dhovan we were heading our way towards our next destination Himalaya. On our way we met many other tourist who were coming back from ABC , it was kind of a relief to see them. They were not only talkative but were positive too. Because it was just two of us girls many people were more concerned about our security terms and well they said we would never makeup to ABC. I was so angry listening to it well ok they were concerned too but still it was not helping. But those tourist who were getting back from ABC was surprisingly helpful to us.

Up our way to Himalaya it was a muddy trail and forest dense forest i would say. We also saw many waterfalls, which was not that heavy though. 🙂 as we were getting close to our next spot we saw a small temple called Baraha temple made of stone. Its quite funny how I imagined when it was mentioned that there as temple on our way in our map. I imagined it would be like big wooden temple like one back in home. 🙂 but it was just one small stone temple half of my size 🙂

As we reached Himalaya (2920mt.) we saw snow for the first time ever in life. Well in fact i was quite disappointed we imagined it would be soft as cotton candy ( thats the stupidest imagination i guess ) 🙂 but it was not. It was like an ice and cold very cold. Thinking of ABC having all this same kind of snow I was starting to be pissed off.

At himalaya there were many Korean tourist who were back from ABC, the personnel of the hotel thought we were Korean too and greeted me in one of the Korean word. When I said i am from Nepal and you can speak in Nepali, he was pretty amazed on how a Korean could speak such a great Nepali. It was a fun conversation and he offered us a cup of tea.

After 40 minutes of long break we started to head to Deurali. On our way to Deurali we met many tourist who were getting back from ABC all sunburned and dirty. I imagined myself how would I look when I get back 🙂 all dark and burned I guess 🙂
Our way to Deurali was steep stairs and steep land and off course dense jungle but slowly trees were less and all you could see was rock and stone. Also our map had mentioned there would be river on way named Chhahre, well there was one but not that big and partly the water was frozen too. It was amazing to view such thing, mother nature is flying amazing. Nature never stops surprising us, from this point we saw many snow falling water fall.

And then we reached our destination for today, Deurali. We were cold, sore and tired , all we wanted to do was to eat full our stomach and sleep warm enough. So did we. Goodnight!!
XOXO
